Thank you for visiting my website!

My name is Iwona and I'm making my dreams come true by running Soaps4You - a small, Edinburgh-based company with big heart, where I create soaps, soap dishes, bath bombs and exfoliating gloves.

I make everything by my own hands in my home-based workshop and I do happily answer any questions regarding any of the ingredientes I use. Every single bar of soap I create comes straight from nature and it's made of high quality oil (coconut oil, shea buter, olive oil, black seed oil, castor oil) and other components that will help your skin to fight its problems. Within my collection you will find a great variety of soaps including, but not limited to red and green clay, Himalayan salt, cammomile, cinammon, active charcoal, calendula, bee wax and more. Whenever possible, I do my best to pick up the ingredientes myself. I collect nettle and lavender near to my house, cook wild rose and chop herbs for my special parsley soap.

It is extremely important for me to reach customers who due to their skin problems find it difficult to access suitable cosmetics. I suffer from psoriatic arthritis myself and it was due to the great frustration I felt while not being able to find right cosmetics that I decided to create them myself. I made my first soap, gave one bar to a friend who soon after asked whether she could maybe buy some as a gift for someone... and that's how it all started.

Beginnings were not easy, trust me. Every single product available in my shop is a result of hundreds of hours spent on learning, experimenting, improving, failing, succeding, frustrations and joys. I gained my current knowledge during the last three years of practice. Though it is true that soaps should look and smell good, the most important thing when making them is to remember that the soap production is all about chemistry, procedures, safety, precision and patience. Soap can be a very moody creature and while experience makes you understand it better, it will still surprise you from time to time. Soap's features and chemical reactions are really fascinating. Not everyone knows that at one stage of production soap has a consistency of custard and it only takes seconds of distraction can change it into a concrete-like substance. Another interesting fact is that a freshly made soap can't be used due to its pH that would burn your skin. It is good for use after weeks of resting. But hey, good things are worth waiting!

Depending on your skin needs I offer soaps that are particullary effective while battling acne, others good for exfoliation, soothing or cleansing. I have many ideas for new products and love challenges, therefore my collection is constantly expanding and I encourage my customers to try my new creations.

It gives me so much satisfatction to hear from my clients who come back for more after testing my products and wish to purchase more of them for their families and friends. It is worth mentioning that my soaps usually last for few months which means you can enjoy them for longer than the ones available in supermarkets. I also recoment looking into ingredientes lists and comparing my bars with the leading-brands' ones.

There is no point in searching for great quality in the soap that were created just to make profit. There are several tricks that one can use to make the soap production cheaper so please study your ingredientes and make sure you use the best quality for your skin. The most common techniques used to reduce the cost of production is swapping good oil with glycerin (or lard!!!) or using artificial colourings and aromas. A 'fake' soap might look beautiful, but it won't nourish your skin as the high quality product would and since it doesn't last for long, you will soon notice that the initial saving was just an ilusion. Please experiment yourself, compare the ingredients list and see for how long the soaps last. My clients made that test and... there's a reason why I started this sentence with 'my clients' :)

Thank you and see you again!
